Jerry deserves it, he’s had a very successful career (during the 90s) and is a pretty funny guy IMO.
He deserves $85 million? Why? I can think of a thousand people, firefighters, nurses, volunteers, doctors, wounded soldiers who deserve 0.01% of what this has-been bozo is raking in. Yes, he’s funny. Yes, it was a great show in the 90s. But $85 million/year for one mediocre actor? No wonder we are in a global financial crisis.
NJ, i totally agree .. what does he do to deserve 85 million, please i see why we are in a crisis also, makes no sense . the real workers like you mentioned deserve that type of money.. no wonder this Country is messed and folks from othere places hate America. but hate the real a-holes not the little people who have been pushed aside by these money grubbing money thiefing idiots!

He gets it because he created Seinfeld. It is still very successful in syndication. And why shouldn’t he get that much? The Studio probably rakes in two or three times that from the Syndication of the show. Why shouldn’t Jerry get a big piece of the pie?

well if they put family matters and the cosby show back on tv…maybe me, my entire family, all my friends wouldn’t be watching seinfeld on the regular. i love seinfeld, and we quote it atleast once a day. yay jerry. i hope his charities are getting a cut of that money. also…the studios are huge money grubbers.

Jerry’s wife Jessica sees nothing wrong Iam sure with the 85 million he is making per year. Why do you think she married him? Not for his looks. Instead of the jewish girl marrying a jewish doctor, she married a rich comedian. Her mother was pleased.
Yes, he should get it. That’s business. I hear the network said recently they made $1 Billion in ad revenue last year on his and Larry’s show. It’s good for morale — to laugh the way that show makes us do.
