Zac Efron grows a beard for the premiere of his latest drama Charlie St.Cloud during the 2010 Deauville American Film Festival on Saturday (September 11) in Deauville, France.
The 22-year-old actor will also premiere his film in Madrid (September 13), Munich (September 14), and London (September 16).

Might as well face it, he looks good with it or without it. Some may prefer him with it, some without it, but he is handsome regardless. Even if you are among the ones who prefer him without it, it is a change and it shows he is good looking.
We fans who know about what he is doing next have tried to tell everyone that this beard is for the new movie he will be filming in about a month in Louisiana. You guys are whining about this beard—even though he looks good with it—I wonder what some of you are going to be doing when he shaves it off and gets his hair all cut off to be a marine in this new movie. He plays a marine in some of the flashbacks and then when he gets out of the service has the beard. SO, once the scenes are shot for the beard parts then the face and head of hair will have to go…I hope you all will get that—especially the ones who are griping he has the beard only to look older.

He really looks like a man for the first time. Those super cute, baby faced men really need some facial hair. My own husband, who is adorably baby faced and in his mid-forties, gets carded if he doesn’t have a little scruff. He’s eight years older than me, but I look like a creepy cougar when he’s clean shaven. I think it’s ZE’s attempt at a beard is a plus.
