Neil Patrick Harris 'Feels Bad' Calling Actor D-Bag

Neil Patrick Harris says he regrets calling The Young and the Restless actor Eric Braeden a “D-bag” on Twitter.

The 37-year-old How I Met Your Mother star made the remark after Eric decided to drop out of a guest appearance on the hit CBS comedy.

“Eric Braeden is a D-Bag. the actor, (Robin’s dad) agreed to a cameo, then last night bailed, saying the part wasn’t ‘substantial’ enough,” Neil tweeted.

Eric responded, telling EW, “I came back from hip surgery. I was off for three weeks. I’ve doubled my work … Everyone knows that I’m exhausted. I was not about to appear on a show for two lines, because that’s what it amounted to.”

Neil took to his Twitter page to say he felt “bad for the D-bag comment.”

“I don’t know the guy personally. I’m just fiercely protective of our show,” he added.
