Indian actress Aishwarya Rai and her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, are expecting their first child together!

The happy news was broken by Abhishek‘s father, actor and producer Amitabh Bachchan, who tweeted excitedly, “T 410 -NEWS NEWS NEWS !! I AM GOING TO BECOME A GRANDFATHER .. AISHWARYA EXPECTING .. SO HAPPY AND THRILLED !!!”

This is the first child for Aishwarya, 37, and Abhishek, 35. The couple married back in 2007.

Aish stepped out earlier in the month for the 162nd Prix de Diane horse race – did you spot a baby bump under her Elie Saab dress?

Congratulations to the happy couple!!

Aww she’s going to make a sweet mother. She’s always so sweet in interviews I’ve seen. Plus the baby is going to be beautiful. Hope she has a little girl
