Maria Sharapova: Cole Haan & Head Launch!

Maria Sharapova celebrates the launch of her new Fall 2011 collection by Cole Haan on Thursday (August 25) in New York City.

The 24-year-old Russian tennis champ (wearing Vera Wang with Cole Haan accessories and Tiffany & Co. earrings) also previewed the special edition Air Bacara Ballets, which she helped co-design.

“We wanted to do something fun and special inspired by my love of fashion and sport,” she said about the shoes, which will be available starting September 8.

The day before, Maria teamed up with fellow tennis player – and world number one! – Novak Djokovic to unveil the latest collection from Head at The Benjamin Hotel.

Both players are also in town for the U.S. Open, which kicks off this Monday!

FYI: Maria wore a Proenza Schouler shirt, 3.1 Phillip Lim skirt, TAG watch, Tiffany & Co. earrings, and Cole Haan shoes to the Head event. She accessorized with a Charlotte Lu moonstone ring and a necklace by Nissa Jewelry.
