It’s too bad brad Pitt did not win. Like I said they are blocking his and Angie’s win cause they don’t want them to proclaim their respect for each other. Hollywood and the those awards are full of crap. They give awards to people they like and not to those who deserve it.

  • Creed

George Clooney winning over Michael Fassbender? Wow. just wow. hopefully GG or Oscars will grow a brain.

Same goes with Viola Davis and Michelle Williams

  • linz

I don’t get these awards. All the critics were gushing about Leo D’s performance in J Edgar. They were all sayingLeo is going to be the frontrunner winning all the awards blah blah blah. Then they turn around and give the freaking critics choice best actor to George Clooney who in my opinion is the biggest ass kisser in hollywood! I’m sorry Leo that you keep getting over looked by these over paid actors who are just there for the attention. You’ll always be BEST ACTOR in my book!

  • Sonia

my heart broke that Leo didn’t win even tho I figured that Clooney is gonna win. I’m still rooting for Leo tho
    Hopefully Golden Globes

  • linz

@Dd: I’m sorry but Brad and Angie? Um they are just there to gain viewers, sorry to say. I don’t take either of them seriously. If Leo lost to Brad I would even be more pissed than I am that he lost to George Clooney. They are both ass kissers in Hollywood who make mediocure films.

  • k

so sad to see leo snubbed again but if someone else had to win, i’m glad it was clooney.

  • kramme

This is B U L L S H I T Michael Fassbender or Leo where so much better than bluddy clooney

  • linz

@k: It should have been Leo. The man never gets any credit. Its such a shame :-(

  • RachelSun

Well all the respected people in the film industry take Brad and Angie seriously so I doubt they care what an anonymous troll says. Angie was not nominated and she was not there so I don’t know how she can be a ass kisser.

Brad gave his best performances ever in Moneyball and TOL. Too bad Malick made TOL too obtuse for people to like which is a shame.
Have not seen Descendants or J.Edgar so no opinion there but I like both Leo and Clooney as actors.

  • Noelle

Michelle Williams deserves to win any best actress award this year. Viola Davis is wonderful, but Michelle was incredible as Marilyn.

  • yep

yes, happy for George and Viola they so deserve to win! congrats to all!

  • l0nely-girl

Yum. Can’t wait for the Golden Globes. Get to see all my hotties, Leo, George, Brad and JGL!

  • Dani

Fassbender or DiCaprio should have won that without question, they gave it to the guy who is a Hollywood brownnoser.

  • rotflmao

Brad and George are stealing awards from more worthy actors

  • linz

@RachelSun: I wasn’t calling Angie an ass kisser. I was saying that George Clooney was.

  • linz

  • Leo looks like a wax figure

Leo looks like a wax figure.. perfect coloring, stiff and blank stare.

  • sweetness

The bouncing ball goes back and forth again every year during the award season. Leo is consistently the only actor we all know WON’T win an award. Why he keeps showing up to these things is beyond me. These awards are like political campaigns. George Clooney is for some reason Hollywood’s liberal elite favorite kid. When he wins it’s a political statement that Hollywood has his back. The GG winner’s list will probably alternate between Pitt winning. But poor Leo not.

  • theresa

i saw The Artist and i loved it. so i’m not unhappy the critics chose it as best picture. Best actor i was kind of hoping would go to Michael Fassbander for Shame. i’m more than happy best actress went to Viola Davis. now the question is what will nominated for Oscars and then who will win.

  • Hey

Michael Fassbender should have won BEST ACTOR not that kiss a$$ George Clooney no wonder he didn’t show up to be humiliated like that.

SHAME on you blind Hollywood people !

  • kingkayski

It’s a sad thing indeed when these so called judges of these award show doesn’t recognized real talent when it’s in front of them,Clooney and his crocodile tears over Leonardo Di Carpio or Brad Pitt always smirking act over Mr.Leo Di Carpio, please ,they might as well call all the award show TCA award, because that is where these two belong and can only win.

  • kingkayski

C’mon the man has been acting since he was a child ,he was a child movie actor that turn into one of most respected movie actor of our time,he can actually act with substance,he can actually become whoever he was playing and believed it too ,he’s like an english actor. While these two mediocre actor only became famous ,Brad, from being a w***e and a thief in Thelma and Loise and his biggest accomplishment is from hooking up with lesbian blood drinking woman,While Clooney got famous from hooking up with he /she woman.People don’t by it anymore that these two can actually be nominate let alone win something, give it to deserving people this time.

  • PK

LEO is not liked in Hollywood. He’s aloof, snobbish and thumbs his nose at his fellow actors. He only makes an appearance when he’s nominated. Clooney knows how to play the Hwood game, and that’s why he’ll keep on winning and Leo will keep on losing. In this game, it’s not just about kissing azz, but whose azz you kiss.

  • Ka

Leo should have won! Anyway, he looks great! So we’ll have to wait for the GG….

  • germn

@PK: You mean Leo has a superiority complex???

  • http://A.com Ka simply

    Wow! Leonardo!!!

  • quid pro quo

@PK: Really, I always heard the opposite but what eva. Certainly the women he picks to be his “GFs” have to be Grade A azz in a very traditional, stereotypical and boring way, so maybe that carries over the other areas.

Anyway, snap, BRUH DOG, you got what you deserved. Lets just hope it
carries over to the other awards.

To contrast, I’ve known VIOLA DAVIS since teenagerhood. She is from
Central Falls, RI, and I am from the next the town over. I attended a summer theater program where she was on scholarship- we were leads in the same play which makes me feel bad I gave up acting for more practical concerns.

Viola was EXTREMELY gifted from DAY ONE. Central Falls is so poor it just went bankrupt and is currently inhabited mostly by African refugees from Sierra Leone and Liberia. Her family was from down south, Viola still has family in CF. She played GOD in a morality play, I was “Good Deeds” of all things. She went to RIC on scholarship and I saw her when she was around 22 at AS 220 in Providence, then she went to Circle in the Square theater in New York. SHe has an amazing presence, you cant forget anything she is. Even a character in Law and Order you wont be forgetting her soon.

    SO SHE DESERVES TO WIN.

  • csw

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie should not turn up to these events. They are being used to publicised the events and draw crowds. Stay home and look after your families these people are using you guys as mascots.

  • NoIdea

I think Robert Richardson should have won for Hugo. How ‘War Horse’ got an award??? Are you kidding me??

  • Wth

Wow I actually like LEO but reading the comments from his fans trashing other actors because he didn’t win some award is a bit much. Calling women the W word. Well whatever..

    Grow up.

  • Ka

@Ka simply: Hi, we’re finally on the same page!

  • THE MIRROR

HEY, HUGH HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13TH!!!!!!! HAHAHHAHA

    LOVE,
WALK UNDER A LADDER!!!!! HAHA WHY DON’T U!!!!! HAHA

  • Sonia

    @PK:

How is he snobbish for being aloof around fake people. I would be the same. Actually I respect him more for that. They guy acts for his passion for films. He said before he hangs around people who keep him grounded. His friends are people who he hanged out with before hitting stardom.
True friends are people who are with you from the good times to bad. Not only good times are disappear when your in need. Hollywood is filled with them. Angelina jolie does the same. stays Aloof from the crowd.

  • Sephiz

It’s a crime that Meryl lost to Viola. Viola in The Help was good, but her performance was hardly the tour de force that Meryl’s was. Meryl’s problem is that people are a bit sick of seeing her so brilliant time and again, plus the fact that not many in the US realise that her portrayal as Thatcher is so uncanny and frighteningly good, since they don’t really know Maggie. She will probably win more awards in the UK than here for this film.

  • @linz #4

    @linz:

I suspect you’re a HW insider? If so, can you shed some light on what the heck is going on with Leo and awards? I STILL can’t believe he didn’t win for Blood Diamond. The accent was CORRECT. I don’t get it… what’s going on, Linz?

  • Alanis

Linz may or may not be an “insider” the reason he doesnt win is that his lifestyle makes him look like an immature jerk. There is a lot to like about Leo, but its hard to see anything he does as “breakthrough.” It’s all relatively easy and handed to him on a platter. Because of the $$$$$$, because he is still the biggest box office producing male lead in history. He just gleams money to people…and that handicaps him. ALso, overall Hoover was uneven in quality…and it wasnt his best performance, and a lot was left out that should not have been….

Also he’s skilled at his craft, so its hard to say oh, this is ONE for Leo.He’s always good but never seems great or to take real chances or work with indy directors, etc. That’s why hon.

There could be some other resentment in HW, there always is for the privileged. But by all means, spill it if you got it.

    Linz=Lindsay??????

  • Alanis

@PK: can you be more specific???

  • arzy

Michael Fassbender I would’ve loved to have seen win. But did ANY of you even see George Clooney’s performance in The Descendants? He was incredible, it was nice seeing Clooney in a role where he’s not smug and charming. His character was honest, lost, trying to find the answers.

I thought Leo was good, but the worst thing is J. Edgar wasn’t a great movie. It was a very disappointing Eastwood flick. And I would HATE it if Leo’s first Oscar was for that movie, it wasn’t good at all.

So glad Viola Davis won though. Lots of people adore Streep in The Iron Lady but the movie focused too much on her personal life and not her role as a brilliant Prime Minister, which was probably why Streep lost.

  • linz

@sweetness: Well at least Leo is playing the game respectably. He is an actor who can actually act! He doesn’t feel the need to kiss the critics asses just to have some hardware on his shelf. It makes me sick that they have to play it like a freaking campaign. Its just not fair to the actors who actually deserve to be recognized for their performances.

@Alanis: Leo is immature and George Clooney is not?! Yeah ok at least Leo doesn’t parade his gfs down the red carpet like a show pony. Clooney is putting on a show and they’re all buying it

@Alanis: I’m not an insider. just a fan like all of you :-) Sorry to disappoint guys.

  • Julie

@linz: When did the Golden Globes become about voting for the most popular person in the room vs best actor? George Clooney? Seriously? Any male actor could have played that role with their eyes closed while wearing a tu-tu balancing on one foot. How can anyone stand to sit in that room…as a serious actor…and not scream “I object!”
