Brett Ratner & GLAAD: New Video Series in the Works!

Brett Ratner is teaming up with GLAAD to create a new video series for LGBT Americans.

The campaign will feature a diverse group of celebs, athletes, musicians and politicians “coming out of the closet” as supporters of equality.

“Working together with GLAAD has been a very positive and enlightening experience for me, and I could not be more pleased to be developing this crucial campaign to help educate people that we all share the same humanity,” Brett, who’s pictured inside with producer Brian Grazer and director/producer Bryan Singer, shared. “I am excited to get to work on this program and hope that minds and hearts are opened by what we create.”

Brett resigned from his gig of producing the 2012 Academy Awards back in November after using a gay slur during a screening.

As a Canadian viewer I can tell you that there is still a tremendous amount of homophobia in the United States. For instance you people just recently did away with “don’t ask, don’t tell” so that gays can openly served in the American Armed Services without being kicked out. In Canada, we did that 20 years ago!!!!! Most civilized countries around the world, including Canada, have allowed gays to serve openly in the armed services for years. The United States was really behind on this one. GET GOING!!!!! Move into the 21st century with the rest of us!
