Why the write like this Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson‘s smash hit The Hunger Games has reined supreme once again ???? Hemsworth has only 5 minutes of screen time he is not main star of this film!!!!!

I just with people would spend this much money on fighting hunger and helping abused people & animals, this much money can change the world….but oh wait! I forgot people are selfish and don’t care, so i even bothered. but on the other hand, I’m just happy for this film instead of Twilight so you go Hunger Games & Harry Potter!

This movie is too fake!!!!

It’s so funny how 15 year old girls are disliking comments with DEPTH that actually, is what this movie lacks.

GOD what’s wrong with this world
retarded teens watch a squared-face short boy falling in love with a fat-face girl instead of watching 2 amazing actors bringing back a beautiful memory

A HEROINE is ruling the box office 3 times in a row. I’m so proud!

And yet it bombs badly outside USA

@ripley
does that really matter at this point? it cost 78 million to make, when its all said and done it’ll be over half a billion. Do the math.

@Ripley: umm no it didn’t. 157 million over seas only is way more than twilight made. Its total gross is 460 million. Not a bomb dumbass.

@Ripley: Actually they’re releasing translated versions of The Hunger Games in foreign countries now because of the demand. Harry Potter and Twilight books were sold in translated languages internationally and that’s why they were successful outside of the US.

You guys complain when crappy movies like Twilight do good at the box office and STILL complain when good reviewed movies with a smart plots do well at the box office. Hunger Games is making history with a big blockbuster lead solely by a female lead. Not just any lead but an Oscar nominated lead who recieved high praise for her role in this film. Stop complaining about everything and get a life.

@Lauri: I agree with you but also, there was A LOT of a$$kissery on this movie. Don’t get me wrong, the movies is entertaining and overall good but some critics were discribing it as a such a masterpiece just to get an exclusive of Catching Fire.
It’s all business which is sad because even though the movie was good and honest to the books, they downplayed the most important thing that is the opression. Besides, Jennifer was good on it but the high praise is a$$kissery because her performance is not memorable although I don’t blame her because I think she was badly directed and the writing didn’t do any favours to the complexetyof the character.

@mel: Still I don’t get what the problem is? It’s still making money and people are still watching the movie…

@Lauri: I think the problem is that generally, people like when a loved book makes it to the big screen but once the media saturates us with it, we start disliking it.
At least, th’s what happened to a lot of people with Twilight. They were excited about the first movie and that’s how suca low budget movie became a cult movie and a big blockbuster. But they got sick and now badmouth it.
However, I think what I dislike the most, is the hype nonsense. It’s just bad. It’s okay to promote a movie but when you start selling the movie and its stars as something they’re clearly not, that is tiresome.
Pluse, I think people don’t like that Titanic came on third when is such a classic and they don’t like that a movie that is not as flawless an memorable as Titanic won the BO.

The Hunger Games wasn’t that great and the only thing entertaining about the film was Jennifer Lawrence. They’re lucky they found an actress who was that good and shone through even with bad direction. She deserves the success and all the praise becasue she carries the whole movie. I hope this opens doors for more female actresses to lead movies on their own.

…that’s funny because the movie wasn’t even any good.

not even a good movie (come from someone who read the book over and over again) It just didn’t capture the heart of the book.
I’d rather watch titanic over again than this

For those who care, I read in the newspaper today that a new hour long DVD is being put out called The Heartthrob Games, about Liam and Josh from the movie.

They’re definitely raising a glass of District wine! http://grapefriend.com/2012/03/22/the-thirst-games/
