Kristin Kreuk & Jay Ryan: 'Beauty & the Beast' at Comic-Con!

Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan pose after a panel for their new CW series Beauty and the Beast held during 2012 Comic-Con at the San Diego Convention Center on Thursday (July 12) in California.

“[My character Vincent] is part of a military experiment so that’s where his back story comes from” Jay explained of his Beast character to THR, while Kristin‘s Beauty (aka Catherine) “is a detective in the NYPD so it’s got an element of the procedural and an element of mythology and romance.”

Beauty and the Beast premieres on October 11 at 9/8c on The CW.

FYI: Kristin is wearing a French Connection dress.
