“[My character Vincent] is part of a military experiment so that’s where his back story comes from” Jay explained of his Beast character to THR, while Kristin‘s Beauty (aka Catherine) “is a detective in the NYPD so it’s got an element of the procedural and an element of mythology and romance.”
Beauty and the Beast premieres on October 11 at 9/8c on The CW.
FYI: Kristin is wearing a French Connection dress.
