Bruno Mars & Sting: Grammys 2013 Performance - WATCH NOW!

Bruno Mars hits the stage with Sting to perform at the 2013 Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 10) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The 27-year-old singer belted out his hit “Locked Out of Heaven,” which he invited Sting to sing with him! The duo also invited Rihanna to the stage to perform a Bob Marley tribute after their duet.

Earlier in the weekend, Bruno, Sting, and Rihanna all posed backstage together at the Grammys rehearsal for their number – be sure to check out the pic!

FYI: Bruno is wearing head-to-toe Gucci with David Yurman jewelry while Sting is wearing Saint Laurent.

    I thought this was the best performance of the evening until they did The Band tribute which has just blown it away.

    @Emily: the band tribute? do you mean when they did Walking on the Moon? that was awesome. sting and bruno did so well together.

    @liz:

    I’m talking about the tribute to Levon Helm who was in band called The Band with Elton John, T-Bone Burnett, Mavis Staples & Mumford & Sons. It felt like a real tribute in that they sang only his song in his honour. I don’t know why Bruno Mars or Sting had to perform their own music at all.

    @Emily: oh sorry. i didn’t watch the whole thing so i guess i missed that. and as for these two, i think the grammy’s does this all the time. they match one veteran musician with a newcomer. a couple of years back they did that with the jonas brothers and stevie wonder. it’s just how the show runs.

    @Emily: It wasn’t just supposed to be a Bob Marley tribute (I don’t know why they announced it like that in the actual show though, so I understand where you’re coming from). The plan (which was written in the Grammy booklets) was that the first half would be the ‘Locked Out of Heaven’/'The Police’ mash-up, and the second half would be the tribute (when Rihanna and the Marleys walk in). But the announcer kept saying that the whole thing was a Marley tribute, which they shouldn’t have (if that makes sense!)

    Honestly Rihanna can not up to par she’s over hype like this performance could have done better with just them, or another female singer. Like so what she’s from the islands, (not the same one as bob marley) but still her voice is not strong enough.

    IMHO for the man at his age, Sting really still has it all. His voice is the best among the others. the most powerful one. I can’t keep my eyes off of him.

    @bocha:

    Sting was great and so was everybody except the drummer sucked on the Walking on the Moon. That song is all about the drums. They sure needed someone who would at least try to emulate the Copeland style on the drums.

    Everytime I hear this song it sounds like We Are Spirits by Sting from 1985. Did Bruno sample this song? Fine if he did but I’ve never heard Sting credited for it?

    bisdakis Says:

    Only rhianna was not able to perform at par with others. Just impressed that this year’s grammys finally is all about music and artists – - – people who can really hit a note when they sing! Not just (c)rappers!

    Weiner Von Brown Says:

    Bruno KILLED it and so did Sting! Along with Bruno’s band, they brought so much energy to the show. You could see everyone in the audience up and singing and dancing and that was so cool. They both sounded great because they’re actual, talented singers and performers – something lacking in most modern music. They should collaborate in the future.
