Hobbit's Luke Evans Covers 'Men's Health' December 2013

Luke Evans shows off his muscles on the cover of Men’s Health magazine’s December 2013 issue.

Here’s what the 34-year-old The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug actor had to share with the mag:

On why he won’t join social media: “For your own self-respect and sanity, your creative freedom, you have to be careful that you don’t rely too much on other people’s opinions of what you do, because it can stunt and inhibit you. You can read 50 great things about yourself, but the one bad thing will be what you remember most.”

On his workout routine: “We never do the same exercises twice in a week. So my muscles don’t’ ever get used to any one move. And I’ll be out of breath every week, every exercise. That’s why I’m cut.”

On starting his career later: “I was a 30-year-old guy who looked like a man. I didn’t have that sort of pretty-buy look, you know. I looked like a bloke, and there are a lot of roles for that sort of guy.”
