One Direction's Liam Payne Split from Girlfriend Sophia Smith

Liam Payne and his girlfriend of eight months, Sophia Smith, have called it quits.

“He’s devastated that it’s over but it was for the best,” a source told Us Weekly. “They were spending too much time apart and it’s only going to get worse this year — the band going on a super long tour, her getting busier with university.”

Liam posted some cryptic tweets yesterday that kind of alluded to a split. Here is what he said: “Can’t be without you. Worse thing I ever did was let you go. [Now] all I got left is the thought of you.”
