Sam Smith: One Day I Might Want to Sound Like Beyonce

The 22-year-old British powerhouse opened up about the main goal when it comes to his music.

“My main aim with the album is to take a risk,” Sam said. “I want to get this whole genre thing out of people’s minds. One day I might want to sound like Beyonce. Every day is very different for me.”

The day before, Sam hit the stage again to perform his hit “Stay With Me” during the 2014 MTV VMAs in Inglewood.
