Gillian Anderson Explains Why She Is Wearing a Wig For 'X-Files'

Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny rock suits on the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, which is out on newsstands on Friday, July 3.

In the issue, the 46-year-old actress opened up on why she was wearing a wig while shooting the X-Files reboot.

“My hair started falling out last year,” Gillian shared about her locks, which went through tons of colors and styles for her other show The Fall. “We were in the middle of doing The Fall and they actually had to stop using tongs and hot rollers because it was literally coming out in the hair dresser’s hand.”

Gillian added, “So yeah, unfortunately, it is a wig. Oh my God, it’s like wearing a vice on your head.”
