Great Scott - Happy Back to the Future Day!

Back to the Future day is finally HERE!

For those living under a rock or those that have just been cryogenically unfrozen from the last 30 years, this day celebrates the 1989 motion picture, Back to the Future Part II, where Marty McFly travels to the “future” October 21st, 2015 to save his children. As all time travel movies go, fixing one thing leads to a few other complications in time that Marty and his crazy scientist mentor, Doc Brown, need to unravel.

The beloved film hit legendary cultural status with the handful of predictions the future BTTF got right. Many fans believe the film’s predictions were eerily on point, while others seemed to have missed the boat completely. Michael J Fox, who played Marty McFly, and Christopher Lloyd, who played Doc Brown, also got together for a commercial to discuss what the 80′s film got right.

Some notable predictions include large screen televisions, video conferencing, video glasses, 3D movies being prevalent in theaters, biometric identification, drones, and the movie industries fascination with sequels. One prediction still in the works is if the Chicago Cubs can make it to the World Series (the team is currently one series away from that historic step though they currently trail 3-0 in their series with the NY Mets).
