Kate Winslet Says She 'Never Thought Of Herself As An Actor Who Would Be In Films'

Kate Winslet keeps it chic and sophisticated while attending the Longines Boutique Opening on Oxford Street on Tuesday (November 24) in London, England.

The 40-year-old Oscar winning actress recently opened up to THR that she never saw herself as a major film actor.

“I never ever thought of myself as an actor who would be in films, ever. I always only thought of myself being lucky enough, maybe to be cast in a play perhaps or a musical and maybe to get the old episode of casualty,” Kate expressed. “I really never thought bigger than that. My backup plan was probably to do something with children. To have started a nursery school or work with underprivileged kids in someway. That is what I had in my back pocket.”
