Harrison Ford Wanted Han Solo to Die in 'Return of the Jedi'
Harrison Ford steps out of Nobu after having dinner on Thursday night (December 17) in London, England.
The 73-year-old legendary actor is in town after the red carpet premiere of his movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens the other night.
In a taped interview that aired on Conan that same night, Harrison talked about why he wanted his character Han Solo to die at the end of Return of the Jedi.
“I thought the best utility of the character would be for him to sacrifice himself to a high ideal,” Harrison said. “And give a little bottom, a little gravitas to the enterprise. Not that there wasn’t some already, but I just wanted in on that part of it.”
