Jude Law Hopes 'The Young Pope' Will Spark Debates: 'I'm All For That'!

Jude Law hits the red carpet while attending the premiere of his upcoming series The Young Pope at La Cinematheque on Monday (October 17) in Paris, France.

The 43-year-old actor was joined at the event by his co-stars Ludivine Sagnier, Cecile de France, and director Paolo Sorrentino.

Jude recently revealed that he did consider whether the 10-part series would cause offense but decided the series was not a critique of the religion.

“I’m sure someone somewhere is going to be offended by it, but that’s what storytelling is about. Opening discussions, openly, freely and diplomatically … I’m all for that,” Jude expressed. “It’s not The West Wing in the Vatican. The themes are more about how an individual survives one’s relationship with faith – as opposed to accurately portraying Vatican politics.”
