The top 20 contestants were cut down by eight during the first live episode of The Voice, which aired on Monday (November 7).

The four coaches – Miley Cyrus, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys, and Blake Shelton – started with five contestants on their teams and each lost two before the live show next week.
