VIDEO: Liev Schreiber Talks Split from Naomi Watts, Turns Down a Matchmaker Offer!

Liev Schreiber and his longtime partner Naomi Watts announced their split earlier this year and now he has broken his silence on the breakup.

The 49-year-old actor, currently starring on Broadway in Les Liaisons Dangereuses, appeared on CBS This Morning on Thursday (December 1), where he was asked about the split.

“You know, we’re parents together,” Liev said when asked if he and Naomi are in a good place. “We’ll be together the rest of our lives, no matter what. We’re very close, and hopefully that never changes. I don’t think it will.”

Liev also turned down Gayle King‘s matchmaker offer and talked about why he decided to do another Broadway show.

“I wanted to be close to the kids, and I wanted to pick a job that would put me in New York and keep me in New York, and this was a job that was in the city, and it kept me around the kids,” he said. “The problem is you have no time to be with them on a theater schedule.”
