Jude Law to Play Young Dumbledore in 'Fantastic Beasts' Sequel!

Attention Harry Potter fans – this casting news is very exciting!

Jude Law has been tapped to play the role of young Dumbledore in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel, Variety reports.

The sequel, which does not yet have a title, will star Eddie Redmayne, who is returning as Newt, as well as Johnny Depp in the role of Grindelwald. David Yates is returning to direct.

“Dumbledore fell in love with Grindelwald, and that added to his horror when Grindelwald showed himself to be what he was.” author JK Rowling has said in the past. “You will see Dumbledore as a younger man and quite a troubled man. We’ll see him at that formative period of his life.”

The sequel is set to hit theaters on November 16, 2018.
