Tom Brady Reveals Why He Skipped Patriots White House Visit

Tom Brady decided to skip the New England Patriots’ visit to the White House last month, and he’s now explaining why after releasing a statement revealing “personal family matters.”

The 39-year-old NFL quarterback said he was spending time with his mom, Galynn, who is reportedly battling cancer. “Spending time with my mom, that’s pretty important to me,” he said, adding, “It’s been a great year, but it’s even better to spend time with my parents, my kids.”

“We started the new season… We will be ready to kick butt here in the next couple months,” he added about football season starting up.
