Tim Allen's 'Last Man Standing' Canceled, Fans Pledge to Boycott ABC

Fans are not happy about Tim Allen‘s ABC series Last Man Standing getting canceled.

Many believe the network nixed the sitcom due to its positive portrayal of conservative values. The 63-year-old actor has also been outspoken about his Republican stance and support of President Donald Trump.

A petition vowing a boycott of the Disney-owned network has already reached more than 33,000 signatures.

Last Man Standing stands out in the sea of network television sitcoms,” the petition reads. “It is a show that appeals to a broad swath of Americans who find very few shows that extol the virtues with which they can identify; namely conservative values. Last Man Standing was not just selling conservative ideals though, as some of the characters in the show are clearly of the liberal persuasion, yet the characters on the show all manage to get along and take care of one another, despite their politically opposed views … Last Man Standing is one of the only shows on broadcast television, and the only sitcom, that is not constantly shoving liberal ideals down the throats of the viewers. And sadly, that is likely the real reason the show has been canceled.”

Last Man Standing has been on air for six seasons now and was ABC’s second most watched comedy, according to Deadline. ABC has not commented on the matter.

Man for saying liberals are the ones so easily offended, it seems like the conservatives are the ones who want to boycott every time something happens they don’t like….

“Liberal values” –what are those: tolerance, open-mindedness, fun?

    And we’re snowflakes?

If so-called liberal Hollywood had a problem with conservatives, he never would have had a show to begin with, BUT HE DID! When I read it was cancelled, I didn’t even realize the damn show was still on the air.

    Get over it.
