Gisele Bundchen Reveals Tom Brady Had a Concussion Last Year, But It Seemingly Went Unreported

Gisele Bundchen made a shocking reveal about her husband, quarterback Tom Brady, during her interview with CBS This Morning on Wednesday (May 17).

“He had a concussion last year….he has concussions pretty much – we don’t talk about…. but he does have concussions. I don’t think it’s a healthy thing for your body to go through… that kind of aggression like all the time. That can not be healthy for you,” Gisele said.

Gisele‘s statement is a big deal because Tom is not listed as having a concussion at all during the 2016 NFL season. The NFL is cracking down on concussions and the concussion protocol due in part to the disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (aka CTE), which commonly effects football players and those in high contact sports. If Tom or the Patriots hid an injury from the league, this could be a serious violation. The NFL does require “significant or noteworthy” injuries to be reported, and a concussion would fall in this category.
