Patton Oswalt Slams Haters Who Have Criticized His Engagement After Wife's Death

Patton Oswalt is slamming the haters for commenting on his engagement to his girlfriend, actress and comedian Meredith Salenger just fifteen months after his first wife, Michelle McNamara passed away.

It appears as if Patton and Meredith received some hate from trolls over the length of time he waited until becoming engaged. Patton reposted a blog by a young widow named Erica Roman who came to his defense.

“This is so amazing. And SO well-written. I expected some bitter grub worms to weigh in (anonymously, always always always) with their much-needed opinions when I announced my engagement last week. And I decided to ignore them…But yeah, I felt this rage. And Erica articulated it better than I could have ever hoped. So there you go,” Patton wrote on Facebook, adding, “Thank you, Erica.”
