'Black Panther' Makes a Huge Box Office Opening With Thursday Night Previews!

Black Panther is already making a serious splash at the box office!

The Ryan Coogler-directed Marvel film is set to hit the $25 million mark already with its Thursday night preview numbers ahead of its Friday (February 16) release, according to Deadline.

The movie will either beat or tie with Captain America: Civil War, which brought in $25 million during its own Thursday previews, making it the second best Marvel preview ever, just behind Avengers: Age of Ultron ($27.6M).

It’s also the biggest pre-summer preview night ever, outpacing The Hunger Games, which came in at $19.7 million during its previews.

What’s more? It’s also now the fourth-biggest pre-seller of all time, just behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Major!
