Hailee Steinfeld Will Star in Musical Movie 'Idol' for Netflix

Hailee Steinfeld will star in the upcoming Netflix movie Idol, which is being described as a musical drama.

The upcoming film will center “around a girl who becomes an assistant for a popular singer and then tries to become her,” according to Variety.

Hailee is one of the producers on the project, which was written by Matt King. Matt Reeves, the director of the upcoming movie The Batman, is also producing.

Hailee broke out into musicals with Pitch Perfect 2 and she went on to launch a successful career as an artist.
