Sophie Turner Says 'Game of Thrones' Petition To Redo Entire Final Season is 'Disrespectful'

Sophie Turner is not a fan of THAT petition one bit!

The 23-year-old actress, who starred as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, is calling out the petition which called for a complete redo of the final season, saying that it’s very “disrespectful”.

“All of these petitions and things like that — I think it’s disrespectful to the crew, and the writers, and the filmmakers who have worked tirelessly over 10 years, and for 11 months shooting the last season,” she shared in an interview with The New York Times.

Sophie added, “Like 50-something night shoots. So many people worked so, so hard on it, and for people to just rubbish it because it’s not what they want to see is just disrespectful.”

She is a fan of where Sansa ended up though – as Queen of the North.

“I loved it. It’s the only place that she really, truly feels safe,” Sophie says. “It’s the place that she’s the most capable of ruling. She would be a fair and loving ruler, and it’s what she’s been striving for this whole series: to go back home, to protect her home. And finally she has that.”

No its not actually, its flattering for anyone who needs work and a steady job. Imagine all the actors and actresses right now who would do anything to be in your position. That guarantee of a job.

So sick and tired of actors whose only job is to pretend feel entitled to OUR MONEY but we have no right to actually expect anything from them.

Thats OUR MONEY Sophie THAT IS IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT RIGHT NOW. Or does capitalism not register with you? The studio paid you, that money didn’t grow off a tree, we paid the studio who pays you.

Guess what that makes the audience: The client. The investor.

The writers gave the audience a faulty product and as investors they have a right to demand a recall. I don’t know why you would find that disrespectful, that’s more money in your pocket, that’s a job for thousands of people around you too.

People get guaranteed work and you would call that disrespectful? Get real. Welcome to Capitalism.

If you find that disrespectful: empty that bank account of yours and give it back to the studio because that money came from the fans.

Somebody tell her the only reason why this show made it to 7.5 seasons is because they were invested in it, and the last season was rushed, nonsensical in many ways and the ending was one no one wanted in the worst possible way. And ultimately the blame is squarely focused on D&D. The creator said he needed many more seasons to truly tell the story and HBO was surely game to keep it going. This was their fault and the actors, crew, etc should not feel bad at all.

I mean, to be fair, Sophie has always spoken up to defend the people behind the show, even when they’ve been *rightfully* called out for shitty writing, because as an actor, if you badmouth your crew/writers/etc. you get blacklisted, especially if you’re a woman and especially if it’s the show that gave you your big break. (See: Katherine Heigl.) Yes, it was an awful finale, but it was awful SPECIFICALLY because Weiss & Benioff are mediocre writers who lack the creativity, stamina, and talent to see a show like this through to a satisfying end without abundant, detailed source material to draw from. That’s not her problem, so why stick her neck out and look ungrateful (ntm risk tanking her own career) when her character was the only one to get a compelling ending?

Are u still going on with ur demanding attitude?

They are artists who put their work on display. You as a fan/customer either like it or not. That’s all the options u have. They don’t work for you. You didn’t hire them.

Yes they get their money from us, but that doesn’t give us any influence or right to dictate over their artistic choices.

You are confusing them with elected officials.
