Adam Scott Slams Mitch McConnell for Using His 'Parks & Rec' Character on Twitter
Adam Scott has a bone to pick with Mitch McConnell.
After the 77-year-old Kentucky Senator’s campaign team used a gif of the 46-year-old’s Parks & Recreation character Ben Wyatt on Twitter, Adam clapped back asking the Senator and his team to not use his photo again – unless it’s “in support of anything but your own stunning & humiliating defeat.”
“Dear Mitch McConnell & all those representing him, Please refrain from using my image in support of anything but your own stunning & humiliating defeat. Thanks! Adam,” Adam tweeted.
The interaction began when Mitch‘s team retweeted an article from The Hill reporting President Trump’s recent remarks that he would make a nomination to the Supreme Court ahead of the 2020 presidential election if a vacancy were to open up. They then added the gif of Ben Wyatt smiling and winking.
After Adam‘s tweet, Mitch‘s team hit back with a screenshot of a newspaper article making fun of Adam‘s character bankrupting a town when he was mayor.
Adam then responded back – posting a photo of Mitch smiling in front of a Confederate Flag.
Dear Mitch McConnell & all those representing him,
Please refrain from using my image in support of anything but your own stunning & humiliating defeat.
Thanks!
