Simu Liu & Awkwafina to Star in Marvel's 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'

Simu Liu and Awkwafina are teaming up for a new Marvel movie!

It was announced at the 2019 Comic-Con on Saturday (July 20) that the two actors will be starring in the upcoming Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Simu will be taking on the titular role on Shang-Chi, who was trained as a martial artist assassin by his father – the infamous villain Fu Manchu – but became a hero after rebelling against his father.

As of right now, the plot details for the Destin Daniel Cretton-directed movie are being kept under wraps.

Simu is a Chinese-Canadian actor best known for his role on the CBC show Kim’s Convenience. The first three seasons of the show are available streaming on Netflix now!

Simu has also appeared on episodes of Nikita, Orphan Black, and appeared as a stunt double on a few episodes of Heroes Reborn.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings is set to hit theaters on February 12, 2021.
