Serena Williams changed her diet after giving birth to her daughter Alexis.

“I was vegan, I didn’t eat sugar!” Serena said at a press conference (via Daily Mail). “I lost 10 pounds in a week when I stopped [breastfeeding]. I just kept dropping.”

As for Venus Williams: “I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, and I wanted to maintain my performance on the court,” she explained to Health. “Once I started, I fell in love with the concept of fueling your body in the best way possible.”

“I’m not perfect, but I live a plant-based lifestyle,” she told ABC News. “[Like] french fries are vegan, but just cause it’s vegan, doesn’t make it the best food choice.”

“[I'd also like to] help people live healthy lives,” Venus added. “It’s so important in my life. For me it’s plant-based lifestyle, for others, maybe it’s getting moving more. For everyone it’s different. [I'd like to help people] find your healthiest moment.”
