The castaways are split between two tribes: the Lairo tribe and the Vokai tribe. They get to know each other at their respective camps, although Jeff Probst isn’t there to greet them like usual.

He officially meets them on Day 3, when they compete for the immunity idol. It is an obstacle course challenge, and Vokai ultimately wins. Jeff tells Lairo one of them will be the first to visit Island of the Idols. Elizabeth is picked to go from a random bag draw.

Elizabeth meets Rob and Sandra at the island, and teach her how to make fire. She’s given a choice to either go head-to-head in a fire-making challenge against Rob and win immunity, or possibly lose her vote at the upcoming tribal council. She competes and loses, and heads back to camp.

At tribal council, there are six votes for Ronnie and two for Vince. Ronnie is the first person voted off the island.
