Taylor Swift Earns First-Ever Woman of the Decade Honor at Billboard's Women in Music

Taylor Swift is receiving a major honor!

The 29-year-old “You Need To Calm Down” singer will be the recipient of Billboard‘s first-ever Woman of the Decade Award.

She will be honored at the 2019 Women in Music Event at the Hollywood Palladium on December 12 in Los Angeles.

Billboard is paying tribute to Taylor for being “one of the most accomplished musical artists of all time over the course of the 2010s,” citing her achievements such as “five No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 this decade, five No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, three worldwide stadium tours and two Billboard Woman of the Year Awards.”

In addition, Taylor Swift is being honored for her “commitment to protecting creative rights, music education, literacy programs, cancer research, disaster relief and the Time’s Up initiative.”

The event will also honor Alanis Morissette, Nicki Minaj, Brandi Carlile, and more.
