Jamie Foxx Says 'Just Mercy' Is The Most Important Movie He's Ever Done!
Jamie Foxx paid a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night (December 17) and dished all about the importance of his new film Just Mercy.
“This is the most important movie I’ve ever done because Walter McMillian is a stone throw away from me or any black man,” the 51-year-old actor told Stephen. “I don’t like the perception of a black man going to jail. I never go visit anybody in jail. I didn’t even visit my father, I wrote him one letter.”

Just Mercy shadows world-renowned civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson (Michael B. Jordan) as he recounts his experiences and details the case of a condemned death row prisoner whom he fought to free.
“Sometimes it takes the art to open our eyes to what’s going on,” Jamie continued. “It’s a beautiful, powerful movie. When you see [Just Mercy], you’re going to want to do something to change the narrative.”
That same evening, Jamie Foxx joined Michael B. Jordan at their SiriusXM’s Urban View Town Hall for Just Mercy.
