Schitt's Creek's 'A Little Bit Alexis' Dance Goes Viral on TikTok - Watch!
Annie Murphy is the inspiration behind the latest TikTok trend.
The 33-year-old Schitt’s Creek actress’s character Alexis Rose is leading users everywhere to record their own videos of her “A Little Bit Alexis” dance from the show.
The scene takes place when Alexis shows off her choreography for the title track of her limited reality series A Little Bit Alexis.
Fans have been imitating everything from Alexis‘s dance moves to her wardrobe.
Some fans have even been using the song to count out 20 seconds while washing their hands amid the current health crisis.
“A whole bunch of people sent it to me last week, and I got such a kick out of it,” Annie recently told UPROXX. “Who knew it would help banish germs?”
“So, I went to Dan [Levy] and I was like, ‘I want to write this,’” she continued. “And shockingly, he agreed. Two of my best, best buds are musicians and so I went to their studio and I wrote the lyrics. We listened to a ton of Britney Spears, as you can probably tell. We listened to ‘Work Bitch’, on repeat. We knew that it was a jokey spoof song, but deep down, all three of us were so desperate to write a banger.”
“Anything that can put smiles on faces right now, is so wonderful,” Annie added. “And I feel so lucky that this has contributed a little bit to that. I get tweets from people who are out, in an actual club, dancing to ‘A Little Bit Alexis.’”
