Cardi B Responds To Candace Owens' Rant About Her 'WAP' Grammy Performance With Megan Thee Stallion
Cardi B is going head to head with Candace Owens on Twitter after the commentator voiced her opinion about the rapper’s latest performance of “WAP” at the 2021 Grammys.
It all started in a segment on Fox News on Monday night (March 15), when Tucker Carlson and Candace sounded off on the performance, which also featured Best New Artist winner Megan Thee Stallion.
“You see that fundamentally we are seeing the destruction of American values and American principles. And it’s terrifying!” Candace shared on the network. “Parents should be terrified that this is the direction that our society is heading towards. Again, we are weakening America…. We are setting the stage, and it feels like we are looking at corrosion, like we are about to see the end of an empire.”
However, Cardi didn’t seem to mind that the performance was a talking point on Fox. In fact, she celebrated it.
Yaaaayyyyyyy WE MADE FOX NEWS GUYS !!! Wap wap wap https://t.co/g7AX947RMb

The heated conversation was only just starting. Following the broadcast, Cardi poked fun at “Candy” and thanked her for boosting the YouTube video of her Grammys performance, which has now amassed 4.7 million views and is the No. 1 trending video on the platform.
“STREAM UP AND WAP .REMEMBER GROWN PARENTS ONLY YOU CAN MONITOR WHAT YOUR KIDS WATCH NO1 ELSE,” she wrote.

From there, Candace went to call out Cardi for her retort.
I don’t work for Fox News, Belcalis, nor do I take issue with you having success.
I take issue with you being used to encourage young women to strip themselves of dignity.
Men typically treat women how they treat themselves.
You know that. https://t.co/1BZQOVTR6t— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) March 16, 2021
She went on, criticizing the performance:
“We hear so many women complaining about how men treat women. Cardi B begs the question— how do women treat themselves? We can fix black culture, we can’t do it if we keep pretending it’s not broken. That performance was disgusting. Let’s start by calling a spade a spade,” Candace wrote. “If you think making your husband a sandwich is a sin, but popping your vagina into another woman’s vagina in front of the world is power— you are a lost soul.”
You always love to mention my husband’s skin tone— so let me ask— what color are the people that are encouraging you to strip in front of the world?
Who owns your record labels?
Who owns CBS and the GRAMMY’s?
Who made the most money off of your WAP?You sold it to who?

After Candace mentioned Cardi‘s record label, she didn’t hold back in her reply, even mentioning former First Lady Melania Trump and produced receipts of Candace at one time endorsing her.
“I don’t know why candy is so bothered by WAP.I was just inspired by our former First Lady 😔. Anyways congrats on your new show I hope you speak more about WAP I need it to reach a new Audience to go 6x platinum.Any exposure will help .Love you candy 😘STREAM UP,” she wrote.
Candace replied, “What is your obsession with the Trump family?
You are digging up modeling shots from our former First Lady from 3 decades ago. She has evolved, you have not. What you did at the Grammy’s was disgusting. Own it. ”
“I’m obsessed she’s my idol! She showed me I can be naked perform wap and still be a First Lady one day ! ….wait so only White women can be naked and show their sexuality and evolve in their 30s but I can’t ? Wow America is soo unfair .To think this was the land of the free,” Cardi clapped back.

And black women should be more like you? 🤨After all the fighting for equality and freedom they should be submissive to a white a man after years of abuse & rape making them a sandwich while pregnant cause in your words “ that’s what a woman should do”? Interesting https://t.co/4BxuhbA3iw pic.twitter.com/ZiAoV8p4Oz

It’s not a sin but claiming “That’s what a woman supposed to do set us women Black or white to hundreds of years back. You have your own show and voice because women fought for years for us to be free to do what we please NOT to be in a kitchen being submissive to a man . https://t.co/EwLVNCeCx8

And as a black woman you should know better then that .You know Deum well America made caricature of black women only being good in the kitchen and taking care of children also known as the “mammy” https://t.co/EwLVNCeCx8
