Keanu Reeves Reveals If He's Technically Married to Winona Ryder

Keanu Reeves is opening up about his life and career.

The 57-year-old actor got candid in a video feature for Esquire, and addressed several questions and rumors, including Winona revealing that due to a technicality while filming Bram Stoker’s Dracula in 1992, the two are married.

Here’s what he had to say…

On if he’s technically married to Dracula co-star Winona Ryder: “We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests. Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So I guess we’re married under the eyes of God.”

On whether he’d join the Marvel Universe: “It would be an honor. Some really amazing directors and visionaries. They’re doing something no one’s ever really done. It’s special in that sense, in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it’d be cool to be a part of that.”

On Will Smith turning down the role of Neo and the impact it had on Reeves’s life: “Well, it changed my life, and it was such a wonderful creative experience. And so to play Neo in the Matrix Trilogy and now in the fourth, it impacted my life personally and creatively. Thank you very much.”
