Roma co-stars Yalitza Aparicio and Marina De Tavira both look gorgeous on the red carpet at the 2019 AFI Awards Luncheon on Friday afternoon (January 4) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The ladies were joined at the event by the movie’s writer and director Alfonso Cuaron.

Roma is receiving an AFI Special Award at the event. It wasn’t eligible for the Top 10 list this year as it is a foreign-language movie.

The movie is nominated for three Golden Globes this weekend, including Best Motion Picture – Foreign Language.

Marina De Tavira and Yalitza Aparicio walk the red carpet together at the awards gala at the 2019 Palm Springs International Film Festival on Thursday (January 3) in Palm Springs, Calif.

The Roma co-stars were at the event to support their director and writer Alfonso Cuaron, who was honored with the Sonny Bono Visionary Award.

Alfonso, who won two Oscars for his work on Gravity, has been nominated for seemingly every major award possible so far for his work on Roma.

The trio were also joined at the event by co-stars Nancy Garcia, Jorge Antonio Guerrero, Diego Cortina Autrey, Carlos Peralta and Fernando Grediaga, as well as the film’s producers Nicolas Celis, Gabriela Rodriguez and Sandino Saravia Vinay.

Roma, which is on the short list in the nominees for Best Foreign Film at the 2019 Oscars, chronicles a year in the life of a middle-class family in Mexico City in the early 1970s and its based partially on writer and director Alfonso‘s childhood.

The co-stars in the highly anticipated film hit the carpet on Monday night (December 10) at American Cinematheque’s Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

Other attendees included Diego Boneta, Molly Sims, Karla Souza and Common.

The film, directed by Alfonso Cuaron, is already getting major award show buzz.

Roma chronicles a year in the life of a middle-class family in Mexico City in the early 1970s and its based partially on writer and director Alfonso‘s childhood.

Roma is now out in limited theaters and hits Netflix on December 14th.

Olga Kurylenko keeps it chic and casual while attending a special screening of Roma held at The Ham Yard Hotel on Sunday (November 25) in London, England.

The 39-year-old actress was joined at the event by special host Clive Owen, Stephen Merchant and the writer-director of the film, Alfonso Cuaron who sat down for a Q&A following the screening.

The film follows Cleo (Yalitza Aparicio), a young domestic worker for a family in the middle-class neighborhood of Roma in Mexico City. Delivering an artful love letter to the women who raised him, director Cuarón draws on his own childhood to create a vivid and emotional portrait of domestic strife and social hierarchy amidst political turmoil of the 1970s.
