Check out the trailer for Woody Allen‘s new film To Rome With Love, which he directed, wrote, and also stars in.

The movie “is comprised of four separate vignettes and tells the story of a number of people in Italy – some American, some Italian, some residents, some visitors – and the romances and adventures and predicaments they get into.”

Penelope Cruz (who worked with Woody in 2008′s Vicky Cristina Barcelona), Jesse Eisenberg, Alec Baldwin, and Ellen Page co-star in the flick, out June 22.

Judy Davis, Alison Pill, and Greta Gerwig round out the cast.

The show, written by Oscar-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, takes viewers “behind the scenes of a high-impact partisan news-talk television program.”

Jeff Daniels stars as controversial news anchor Will McAvoy who does whatever he can to hold onto his audience.

Emily Mortimer, Alison Pill, Dev Patel, Law & Order‘s Sam Waterston, Jane Fonda, and Olivia Munn round out the supporting cast.

The Newsroom premieres Sunday, June 24, on HBO!

Seann William Scott has a serious talk with Liev Schreiber in the trailer for their upcoming film Goon.

Here’s the synopsis: Doug Glatt (Scott), a slacker who discovers he has a talent for brawling is approached by a minor league hockey coach and invited to join the team as the “muscle.” Despite the fact that Glatt can’t skate, his best friend, Pat (Jay Baruchel), convinces him to give it a shot, and Glatt becomes a hero to the team and their fans, until the league’s reigning goon becomes threatened by Glatt’s success and decides to even the score.

Alison Pill and American Pie‘s Eugene Levy also star. Goon will be available on demand on February 24 and in theaters March 30.

Dev Patel has landed a role in an upcoming Aaron Sorkin drama pilot for HBO!

The 21-year-old actor, best known for his role in Slumdog Millionaire, will join Olivia Munn and Emily Mortimer in the new pilot, entitled More As This Story Develops.

Variety reports that the show, which is set in the world of cable news, also will feature Jeff Daniels, Alison Pill, and Law & Order alum Sam Waterston.

Greg Mottola will direct the pilot – he’s known for directing projects including Superbad and Adventureland.

Marisa Tomei and Olivia Munn may be co-starring in a new HBO pilot, Deadline reports.

The Aaron Sorkin-helmed project, tentatively titled More As This Story Develops, revolves around a cable news anchor (Jeff Daniels), who has his own show, in addition to the show’s female executive producer (Tomei) and staff.

Marisa is reportedly close to sealing the deal to play the female lead, while Olivia and Alison Pill are in talks for supporting roles.

Olivia would play a “sexy financial analyst on the same cable network,” while Alison would take on the role of Maggie, an associate producer on the assignment desk.

Jay Baruchel and his longtime girlfriend, Alison Pill, are engaged!

The 28-year-old Canadian actor, who last starred in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, broke the happy news to ET Canada.

“[Alison] came to Montreal for Christmas and my gift to her was…I was going to give her a ring and I wasn’t sure, I wasn’t ready in my heart to say what it was, but it was just a ring for now – happened to be a 180 year old Victorian wedding band from England!” Jay said.

Jay and Alison, 25, plan to marry in September of 2012.

Milk is tells the story of slain gay rights icon Harvey Milk from Academy Award-nominated director Gus Van Sant. Early reviews for the film and especially Sean Penn‘s portrayal of Milk are very strong.

The Hollywood Reporter: “Yes, it’s a biopic, a love story, a civil rights movie and sharp political and social commentary. But it transcends any single genre as a very human document that touches first and foremost on the need to give people hope.”

Variety: “The quality of the writing, acting and directing generally invests them with the feel of real life and credible personal interchange, rather than of scripted stops along the way from aspiration to triumph to tragedy. And on a project whose greatest danger lay in its potential to come across as agenda-driven agitprop, the filmmakers have crucially infused the story with qualities in very short supply today — gentleness and a humane embrace of all its characters, even of the entirely vilifiable gunman, Dan White.”
