Mom staffers are still reacting to the news of Anna Faris‘ departure from the show.

The 43-year-old actress revealed she was leaving the hit sitcom after seven seasons, and it was a shock to her co-workers, People reported Thursday (September 10).

“It was a surprise to hear that Anna was leaving. None of us are happy about that,” a source close to the show told the outlet.

Anna announced she was leaving the show just days before the comedy was planning to resume production on Season 8 amid the pandemic, which was pushed back and set to begin on September 14.

“It was sudden and unwelcome, and it left the entire network scrambling. This is not a good thing at all,” the source added, saying “no one” wanted her to leave.

“Mom has been one of CBS is more profitable scripted shows, in a very challenging economic time. And now one of the leads is gone. It’s actually a nightmare. No one wanted this.”

Allison Janney left a comment on Instagram that seems to indicate she forgot she starred in 10 Things I Hate About You!

In the movie, Allison portrays high school principal Ms. Perky, who writes erotic novels. Some of the funniest lines in the film come from her, and you can watch a clip right here!

Allison made it clear she didn’t realize she was in the iconic 1999 film, also starring Julia Stiles, Heath Ledger, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, in a comment on Instagram.

She responded to a photo posted on Instagram of her name in the opening sequence, as well as one of her iconic lines posted on the photo sharing service.

Sean Hayes is taking on a new kind of role in his latest film, Lazy Susan!

The Will & Grace star plays an unmotivated cisgender woman for whom doing nothing is exhausting in the film, which also stars Matthew Broderick, Allison Janney, Carrie Aizley, Margo Martindale, Jim Rash, Kiel Kennedy, Danny Johnson and Darlene Hunt.

Allison Janney is looking back on her time on The West Wing!

The 60-year-old Oscar winner stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night (January 14) where she talked about her hit NBC show.

During her interview, Allison discussed the possibility of a The West Wing reboot.

“No, I don’t think it will happen, but it’s nice to think about,” Allison, who played C.J. Cregg, said. “I think everybody wants to think about it now because, you know, it was a Camelot administration on The West Wing. It was the way you hope that people in government [would be].”

The West Wing ran from 1999 to 2006.

Allison Janney just confirmed that her Mom co-star Anna Faris is officially engaged to her boyfriend Michael Barrett!

Rumors that Anna and Michael got engaged began to spread back in November when she was seen with a ring on her finger. She never actually confirmed the news.

Well, Allison spilled the beans and said, “I know she’s been engaged for a long time. I kept it very quiet, I’ll have you know!”

So, I celebrated with them a long time ago,” Allison to added Us Weekly.
