What Is 'American Horror Story' Season 7 Theme? It Will Be 'Shrouded in Secrecy'

American Horror Story season seven is expected to debut later this year, but fans want to know, what is the theme!?

At the network’s TCA today, FX chief John Landgraf said, “We know explicitly what seventh season is about, but not eight and nine. I’m really excited about season 7, and utterly confident that eight and nine will be unique and interesting.

'American Horror Story' Renewed for Seasons 8 & 9 by FX!

American Horror Story has been renewed for not only one, but two additional seasons by FX!

The seventh season has not even aired yet, but was picked up earlier. Season six – AHS: Roanoke – wrapped up over the fall.

American Horror Story launched the modern limited series revolution and — as evidenced by the most recent installment ‘Roanoke’ — it remains as vital today as when ‘Murder House’ stunned audiences six years ago,” John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions, said in a statement. “Each new chapter is a cultural event, beloved for every new twist in imagery, style, cast and plot. We are thrilled that Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and the entire creative team will continue to deliver the groundbreaking, celebrated ‘American Horror Story’ for years to come.”

No casting or themes have been announced at this time.

'American Horror Story' Season 7: Will It Be Set at Sea?

The sixth season of American Horror Story came to a close last night (November 16) after an amazing ten episodes of twists and turns, and now it looks like we are being clued into season 7 already!

After the episode finished airing, the show’s official Twitter account posted a video that showed a graphic of waves with the words “Sweet Dreams” written over it. The video flashed into the woods outside of the Roanoke house and included some screams as well.

Fans are guessing that seventh season could be taking place at sea. It has also been pointed out that a miniature ship fell from a shelf inside the Roanoke house at one point during the season finale and the camera lingered on it for a few moments.
