Jimmy Kimmel made his first public appearance with his son Billy, five months, along with wife Molly and their daughter Jane, 3.

The family attended the 2017 L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade event at the UCLA Royce Quad over the weekend in Los Angeles. Other celebrities in attendance include Camilla Belle, Wilmer Valderrama, Emily Wickersham, and Bailee Madison.

Jimmy and Molly‘s son underwent heart surgery days after being born, and will need two more heart surgeries in the future.

The event ended up raising over $1.3 million for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for childhood cancer research.

Jimmy Kimmel is giving fans an update on his three-month-old son Billy, who underwent open heart surgery just days after his birth.

The 49-year-old late-night host and his wife Molly McNearney, 39, shared an update last month as well, revealing that Billy was doing much better.

“Young Billy made his first visit to our office today. He’s juggling. He’s translating Flaubert from French into English,” Jimmy joked during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “No – he smiles. That’s pretty much it. He is very interested in ceiling fans. He likes those a lot. I could get him to pay the same amount for Netflix just to watch ceiling fans.”

“And his health?” Jimmy added. “He has to have two more open heart surgeries. We would like to get them over with and not have to think about it all the time, but it could definitely be worse.”

Jimmy Kimmel is giving fans an update on his son Billy, who underwent open heart surgery just days after being born.

The 49-year-old talk show host got candid about the scary experience on his show back in May and since then, Billy has been doing much better.

Jimmy took to his Twitter to share a sweet photo of Billy showing off a big smile.

“Billy is 3 months old & doing great. Thx for the love & support. Please remind your Congresspeople that every kid deserves the care he got,” Jimmy captioned the photo.

Jimmy Kimmel has returned to his show following a paternity leave and his announcement about his son Billy‘s heart condition.

The 49-year-old talk show host gave an update an update on his son, saying he is doing “very well” and getting bigger!

“What a humbling outpouring of support. So many people made donations to CHLA and my wife and I are very grateful. Our plan is to send a card to everyone who made a donation and there were a lot, so you may get those at Christmas time,” Jimmy said.

He also added that he had hoped that his plea about healthcare would have made more of a difference.

Jimmy added, “So now the health care bill moves from the House to the Senate – where hopefully, some kind of common sense will prevail.”

He also invited Louisiana’s Republican Senator Bill Cassidy on the show to discuss the healthcare debate.

Jimmy Kimmel revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night that his newborn son Billy Kimmel was born with a heart condition and needed open heart surgery.

The 49-year-old talk show host’s guest that night, snowboarder Shaun White, comforted Jimmy while making his appearance, because Shaun had the same heart condition when he was a baby.

“I was probably just born. Similar situation like I was slowly turning blue,” Shaun said. “My parents knew something was up. The doctors came in found out that was the scenario�”the heart condition�”so I don’t obviously remember much at that point. I was so young.”

“It brought back a lot seeing that same exact photo with the tubes and the whatnot,” he added. “I have a lot of socks from when I was that age because the only thing my mom could dress me in was socks because she couldn’t touch me in my tube there.”

“You are an inspiration to a lot of families who go through this situation,” Jimmy responded. “It makes me believe that my son, too, is going to win Olympic medals for the United States of America.”

Jimmy Kimmel has revealed that his wife Molly recently welcomed their second child together, a baby boy named William “Billy” Kimmel, and he underwent a successful open heart surgery days after he was born.

The 49-year-old late night talk show host opened the Monday (May 1) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live with an emotional monologue in which he tearfully talked about what he went through in the hospital following his son’s birth on April 21.

Billy underwent open heart surgery after it was discovered that he wasn’t getting enough oxygen, which was caused by a heart issue.

At the end of the monologue, Jimmy encouraged viewers to donate to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as no family should have to decide if they can afford to save their child’s life.

Jimmy‘s show will be guest hosted by his friends this week while he is on paternity leave.
