Check out 10 Fun Facts below:

  1. I love mythology, I’m mostly interested in Greek and Roman mythology. I find it fascinating how similar they are, yet also different in fundamental ways.
  2. The first suit I ever had was handmade for me in Nairobi, Kenya. I was 10 years old and was there doing a TV series. I remember loving picking out the color and fabric because I tried to make it look like Dr. Who’s suit.
  3. I’m a nerd, in the best of ways. I love, in no particular order, Dr. Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings, Percy Jackson, Marvel anything, and, yes, I could go on. I say that I inherited it, as my parents are also proud to be nerds.
  4. Speaking of my parents, they traveled absurd distances for me to audition. I grew up in Calgary, Alberta and my mom would drive 12 hours, one way, to Vancouver, British Columbia for me to audition for 10 minutes when I first started out. Thanks Mom and Dad.
  5. I’m passionate about directing and it’s a definite goal of mine, but I figure I need about 20 more years of experience before I want to venture into anything big. It’s kind of like my acting, I want to study and really learn the trade. Know anyone who wants an apprentice? Will work for film.

Get to Know 'Grow' Singer Josie Man With These 10 Fun Facts! (Exclusive)

Josie Man is one of the newest rising acts on the music scene, and we want Just Jared readers to know her even better.

Born of both Hong Kong and Orpington descent, the fusion of cultures in her upbringing informed her own view on life from an early age.

“When I was little and surrounded by both my Cantonese-speaking and South East London family, I invented my own language and my own universe of colours and symbols. I learnt that there is more than one way to be. Rules of being can be blurred,” she explains.

Josie kicked off her music career with debut single “Colours” at the end of 2019, followed by “Baby Pink & Blue” and her debut EP, aLOVINGboothang in February. After being named BBC Introducing’s “Track of the Week” with her song “Just Me” as well as supporting Beabadoobee earlier in the year, her follow-up is an introspective anthem, called “Grow” – and that’s exactly what she’s done with her own steadily growing artistic career.

“I’ve been hurt, lessons learnt but nothing ever grows without it,” she declares.

“Free fall. Let the music do it all. We don’t even have to talk. Let the tears fall on the floor.”

Watch the music video for “Grow” and check out Josie Man‘s 10 Fun Facts
