Riz Ahmed and Octavia Spencer arrive at the premiere of their new film Encounter at the Directors Guild of America on Thursday Night (December 2) in Los Angeles.
The two actors were joined at the event by director Michael Pearce, as well as their co-stars Janina Gavankar, Rory Cochrane, Lucian-River Chauhan and Aditya Geddada.

Riz Ahmed and wife Fatima Farheen Mirza hit the red carpet together for the premiere of Encounter during the 2021 BFI London Film Festival held at The Curzon Mayfair on Friday night (October 8) in London, England.
The cute couple were joined by the film’s director, Michael Pearce, for the event.
Encounter also stars Octavia Spencer, Janina Gavankar, Rory Cochrane and Lucian-River Chauhan.

Riz and Fatima tied the knot during quarantine and the actor just recently revealed the news in an interview.
He’s up for the Best Actor honor at tonight’s show for The Sound of Metal.

Riz Ahmed has unveiled the identity of his new wife – Fatima Farheen Mirza!
The 38-year-old Venom actor revealed the big news that he had gotten secretly married in a recent interview on Louis Theroux‘s Grounded podcast.
Riz shared that the marriage was very new to him and he and Fatima tied the knot “not very long [ago], actually. It’s the first time I’ve ever mentioned it in an interview. So, congratulations on this incredibly exciting scoop.”
While he didn’t reveal her name on the podcast, Riz did open up about her identity on The Tonight Show.
“It’s a weird one, isn’t it?” he shared on the program. “I guess because we live in a social media age, if you don’t get on the megaphone about stuff, it’s like it’s a secret? But I never know how much is oversharing.”
Riz did share how he and Fatima met.
“We just both sat down at the same table in a café, where we both turned up to write,” he remembered. “We were both jostling over the same laptop plug points, like a very modern way of meeting. And we struck up a friendship, and then we reconnected down the line. But it’s weirdly one of the many things about preparing for this role that was so special. It just brought a lot of goodness into my life.”
Fatima is the author of the best selling book, “A Place For Us”. She’s pictured at a event to promote the book with Sarah Jessica Parker below.
