'Criminal Minds: Evolution' Season 2 Cast Changes Include an Exciting New Star & a Surprising Exit

Even more updates about the cast of Criminal Minds: Evolution are being shared, including an exciting addition to the cast, an actor being promoted, and a shocking exit.

Season one of the revival show debuted in November 2022 and the season finished airing back in February. Paget Brewster confirmed on Twitter that the second season began filming in January.

The new series follows “the FBI’s elite team of criminal profilers [as they] come up against their greatest threat yet, an UnSub who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers. As the world opens back up and the network goes operational, the team must hunt them down, one murder at a time.”

Six beloved actors returned for the revival, two fan-fave stars did not come back, and one popular actor was added to the show.

One of those actors who didn’t return has hinted he may come back for season two though. There’s also an actor who announced his exit!

The season two cast for Criminal Minds: Evolution has added a familiar face: Felicity Huffman.

The 61-year-old actress will have a guest-starring role in the upcoming Paramount+ reboot, which is currently in production on the new season. Felicity will take on the role of an ex wife of a former Criminal Minds character.

Felicity Huffman Breaks Silence Four Years After College Admissions Scandal

Felicity Huffman is opening up for the first time about her involvement in the college admissions scandal.

Back in 2019, the 60-year-old Desperate Housewives actress served 11 days in prison for paying $15,000 to convicted scandal mastermind Rick Singer to have her daughter Sophia‘s SAT scores secretly corrected.

She also paid a $30,000 fine, served 250 hours of community service, and was on supervised release for one year. Felicity completed her full sentence by October 2020.

Now four years later, Felicity spoke with ABC-7 Eyewitness News about the scandal.

ABC Reveals Fate of Spinoff Shows 'The Rookie: Feds' & 'The Good Lawyer'

Two spinoff series at ABC have met their fate on the network.

The Rookie: Feds and The Good Lawyer were both first introduced on their respective flagship shows, The Rookie and The Good Doctor.

While Feds aired one season so far, The Good Lawyer only had a backdoor pilot and was not yet picked up to series, and now we know whether or not ABC will continue with the spinoffs.

'The Good Doctor' Spinoff 'The Good Lawyer' - Two Big Cast Members Revealed!

The Good Doctor is getting its own spinoff.

The show, which is currently in Season 6, returns with new episodes on Monday, January 23, and there’s going to be a lead-in to the upcoming ABC spinoff, called The Good Lawyer, airing in March.

A backdoor pilot will air Monday, March 6 at 10 p.m. ET. In the episode, Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) “seeks legal representation to help him win a case and puts his faith in a promising, young lawyer who has obsessive compulsive disorder,” via TVLine.

Two big stars are confirmed for the spinoff so far.

Rick Singer, College Admissions Scandal Mastermind, Receives Prison Sentencing

Rick Singer is going to prison.

The 62-year-old founder of the Edge College & Career Network and mastermind behind the nationwide college admissions scandal, which involved dozens of celebrities and high-profile individuals who used their status to buy their kids’ way into colleges around the country, was sentenced to three and a half years in prison on Wednesday (January 4), via AP.

He began secretly working with investigators in 2018 and recorded hundreds of phone calls and meetings that helped authorities build the case against parents and coaches arrested in March of 2019.
