Selena Gomez Brings Francia Raisa To Her Sister's Dance Recital!

Selena Gomez stepped out to support someone very special in her life – her little sister Gracie!

The 25-year-old entertainer was spotted heading into the four-year-old’s ballet recital on Saturday evening (December 9) in Los Angeles.

Selena kept it casual in white joggers paired with a denim jacket, t-shirt and Louis Vuitton purse.

She also brought along her best friend Francia Raisa, who donated her kidney to Selena earlier this year.

The friends were also accompanied by Selena‘s mom Mandy and her step-father Brian Teefey.

We know Gracie‘s recital must have been adorable!

Selena Gomez Tearfully Accepts Woman of the Year Award at Billboard Event (Video)

Selena Gomez lets a tear run down her face while accept the Woman of the Year award at the 2017 Billboard Women in Music event on Thursday (November 30) in Hollywood.

The 25-year-old entertainer was presented the award by her A Rainy Day in New York co-star Elle Fanning and her best friend and kidney donor Francia Raisa.

“To be honest, I think Francia should be getting this award because she saved my life,” Selena said while tearing up. “I would like to thank my amazing team and family because they stuck with me through some really hard times.”

“I couldn’t be more grateful for the position that I’ve been given in my career. I want people to know that I respect the platform that I have so deeply,” she added. “I’ve never felt more proud to be a woman in this industry. I am so grateful for all the older women who have helped us up.”

Selena Gomez's Kidney Donor Francia Raisa Joins Her at Billboard's Women in Music Event!

Selena Gomez joins her BFF Francia Raisa on the red carpet at the 2017 Billboard Women in Music celebration on Thursday night (November 30) at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood.

If you weren’t aware, Francia is the friend who donated a kidney to Selena and essentially saved her life.

Selena is being named the Woman of the Year by Billboard, joining a list of women like Madonna, Taylor Swift, Pink, Lady Gaga, and Beyonce, who have all received the honor.

Selena Gomez Gets Honest About Her Battle With Lupus, Her Kidney Transplant & Her Faith

Selena Gomez is opening up about her battle with lupus, depression, her recent kidney transplant from longtime friend Francia Raísa and her life today in a new Today interview published on Tuesday (October 31).

“I went away to a facility. I took some time off. I needed to get my mind right, be healthy…I removed myself from everyone in my life,” Selena admitted.

“What I believe is that it does happen for a reason,” Selena said of her lupus diagnosis. “I think a huge part of my discernment and my honesty and my truth has been because I’ve had a relationship with God.”

“I don’t want people to think it’s a sad thing that I went through this with Francia or with anything in my life,” she said. “I think all of the stuff that I went through made me and defined everything that I am right now. It’s a really beautiful thing and I have to remind myself of that. It’s not a negative experience.”

Selena Gomez & Francia Raisa Give Emotional First Interview About Kidney Transplant (Video)

Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa sat down for a very emotional interview about their kidney transplant surgery. If you don’t know, Francia donated one of her kidneys to Selena due to her lupus.

“I had arthritis. my kidneys were shutting down,” Selena tearfully revealed. She continued that the transplant need was dire, and the list to get a transplant was very long. “I don’t know what to do. The list is 7 to 10 years long,” she said.

“The thought of asking somebody to do that was really difficult to me,” Selena continued, and Francia volunteered.

“I had to write a will. Which is scary…My mom didn’t want to be there until I woke up. She loves Selena, so she was torn,” Francia said.

Selena also added there was a complication after the surgery where the kidney started to flip. She had to go back in for another procedure.

Selena Gomez is opening up for the first time in an interview about her recent kidney transplant alongside her donor, Francia Raísa.

The 25-year-old “Wolves” singer and actress and the 29-year-old The Secret Life of the American Teenager actress sat down with Today‘s Savannah Guthrie for an interview about the experience.

“I guess I got to the point where it was really kind of life or death,” Selena says.

“My kidneys were just done. That was it and I didn’t want to ask a single person in my life…and she volunteered and did it.”

Selena underwent the transplant due to her ongoing battle with lupus, which she first revealed back in 2015.
