Jerry Springer Is Television's Next Judge for 'Judge Jerry' Series

Jerry Springer is moving from the stage to the bench for his new show Judge Jerry.

The longtime talk show host will be settling disputes by using the law from now on. Jerry will take on actual cases from real people. In each episode, Judge Springer will hear cases and render a verdict with a fair yet firm hand and always leave litigants with a dose of classic Springer wisdom.

“For the first time in my life, I am going to be called honorable,” Springer said in a statement. “My career is coming full circle and I finally get to put my law degree to use after all these years.”

Judge Jerry, which will premiering in national syndication in fall 2019, will be taped in front of a live studio audience in Connecticut.

'The Jerry Springer Show' May Be Ending After 28 Seasons

It looks like The Jerry Springer Show is coming to an end.

NBCUniversal has stopped production of the syndicated daytime talk show and will air pre-taped episodes and reruns in its move to the CW this fall, Deadline reports.

Under a multi-year deal, the CW may order new episodes in the future, but for now production has ended.

The Jerry Springer Show debuted back in 1991 and became a huge success with its controversial guests and on-set fights.

The show has aired more than 3,800 episodes in over 28 seasons.
