Taylor Swift Wins Video of the Year, Uses Speech to Promote Equality Act Petition

Taylor Swift accepts an award alongside her friend and collaborator Todrick Hall on stage at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday (August 26) at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

The 29-year-old singer was joined by the cast of her “You Need to Calm Down” music video to accept the awards for Video of the Year and Video for Good.

Joining Taylor and Todrick were Dexter Mayfield, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Justin Mikita, Hayley Kiyoko, Jonathan Van Ness, Hannah Hart, Jade Jolie, Hannah Hart, Trinity The Tuck, Trinity K Bonet, Akeria C Davenport, Tatianna, Riley Knoxx, and co-director Drew Kirsch.

Taylor used the speech for Video of the Year to promote her petition to support the Equality Act, which has over 500,000 signatures. She pointed out that this is five times the amount of signatures needed for a response from the White House!

'Modern Family' Cast Shares First Table Read Pictures 10 Years Apart!

The cast of Modern Family is all grown up – and getting emotional!

Sofia Vergara shared a picture of the cast after their first table read of the first season and a picture of the cast after their first table read of the final season on her Instagram on Wednesday (July 31).

“10 years later!!😍😍😍😍 Modern Family!!!❤️❤️❤️ #ourlastseason 🎬,” she captioned the post.

Ed O’Neill, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, Julie Bowen, Nolan Gould, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, Ariel Winter and Rico Rodriguez all pose for the photos, which were both taken by the show’s co-creator, Steve Levitan.

“First table read of the last season. Also Rico‘s 21st birthday! #ModernFamily,” Steve added in a post on his Instagram.

The show was renewed for an 11th and final season back in February.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson to Host 'Extreme Makeover' Revival on HGTV!

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is heading to HGTV!

The 43-year-old Modern Family star will be hosting the revival of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition when it premieres on HGTV next year.

“I was so inspired by the original series and now I can’t wait to help families as the new host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” Jesse said in a statement via Variety.

Extreme Makeover ran for nine seasons on ABC from 2003 to 2012 with host Ty Pennington, in which families and communities in need of help are given a massive reworking of their homes.

Ciara Perfectly Shuts Down Hater Questioning Her Cameo in Taylor Swift's 'You Need to Calm Down' Video

Ciara is responding to a troll, and she’s shutting him down perfectly.

The 33-year-old entertainer had a cameo in Taylor Swift‘s “You Need to Calm Down” music video where she acted as the officiant for Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Justin Mikita‘s wedding.

The troll wrote, among other things, some homophobic comments including, “You shouldn’t be doing this,” and “We love you but this is wrong.”

Ciara had an amazing response to shut the hater down, writing, “Firstly, Christians don’t judge. Secondly, #YouNeedToCalmDown.”

Taylor Swift Surprises Fans at Stonewall Inn During Pride Celebration - Watch!

Taylor Swift surprised some lucky fans at a Pride Month celebration!

The 29-year-old singer, who just dropped her LGBTQ anthem “You Need to Calm Down,” took the stage on Friday night (June 14) at The Stonewall Inn in New York City.

Taylor has been a longtime supporter of the gay bar and National Historic Landmark, which was the site of the riots that started the gay rights movement 50 years ago.

The event was hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and also featured performances from Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel.

“I’m so happy I don’t have to keep this secret any longer. Look who came to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Stonewall at the Stonewall Inn. @taylorswift13, you are a gem. Thank you for everything you do for the LGBTQ community. We ❤️ you! 🌈,” Jesse wrote on his Twitter.

During the event, Taylor performed “Shake It Off” and invited Jesse to sing along with her on stage!

Jesse Tyler Ferguson and husband Justin Mikita are celebrating Pride Month!

The cute couple stepped out for their advocacy organization Tie The Knot’s first east coast pop-up shop on Thursday night (June 13) at The Tie Bar in New York City.

Tie The Knot is giving The Tie Bar a Pride makeover leading up to the NYC Pride Parade at the end of this month.

“Millions of queer people from around the world will descend on New York City this summer for World Pride, and we’re here for it. We have been wanting to do something big for Pride for years, so I am so excited for this collaboration with The Tie Bar building the go-to collection and location for all your Pride needs,” Jesse said in a statement.
