Joan Fontaine Dead: Oscar-Winning Hitchcock Actress Dies at 96

Joan Fontaine has died at the age of 96, according to THR.

The actress is best known for her roles in Alfred Hitchcock films Rebecca and Suspicion, which garnered her an Oscar for best actress.

Joan also starred in The Constant Nymph (1943), Jane Eyre (1944), September Affair (1950), Ivanhoe (1952), and Island in the Sun (1957).

She made her final credited appearance in the 1994 TV film Good King Wenceslas.

Besides from acting, Joan was a licensed pilot, an interior decorator, and a chef, who was married and divorced four times.
