Carrie Underwood glimmers on the red carpet before the American Idol finale on Wednesday (May 23) in Los Angeles.

The 29-year-old former Idol contestant and winner of season four snuggled close to hubby Mike Fisher.

Judge Jennifer Lopez performed her song “Going In” at the finale. Rihanna also stopped by to perform “Where Have You Been.”

Check out the premiere of Whitney Houston‘s duet with Jordin Sparks, “Celebrate!”

The track was written by R. Kelly and is the very last song Whitney recorded before she passed away.

“Celebrate” will be featured on the soundtrack to Whitney and Jordin‘s upcoming film, Sparkle.

The drama co-stars Derek Luke, Mike Epps, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter, Omari Hardwick, and Cee Lo Green and will hit theaters on August 17.

Last night, Jordin joined John Legend on stage at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards for a special tribute to Whitney.

The drama co-stars Derek Luke, Mike Epps, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter, Omari Hardwick, and Cee Lo Green.

The movie will feature a soundtrack that includes “Celebrate,” a duet between Jordin and Whitney written by R. Kelly.

“I actually just heard a cut of it the other day and my jaw was on the floor,” Jordin recently told EW.

“For me as a singer growing up listening to her, to be able to do a song with her is incredible,” she added. “And being her friend, just hearing how she sounded, it was amazing. So I can’t wait for people to hear that. I cannot wait.”

Jordin Sparks shares the big screen with Whitney Houston in the trailer for the upcoming movie Sparkle.

Synopsis: Musical prodigy, Sparkle (Sparks) struggles to become a star while overcoming issues that are tearing her family apart. From an affluent Detroit area and daughter to a single mother (Houston), she tries to balance a new romance with music manager, Stix (Derek Luke) while dealing with the unexpected challenges her new life will bring as she and her two sisters (Carmen Ejogo and Tika Sumpter) strive to become a dynamic singing group during the Motown-era.

The musical drama, which also features Cee Lo Green and music by both Jordin and Whitney, hits theaters this August.

The movie marks Whitney‘s finale role before her death in February.

The 22-year-old singer and actress was the keynote speaker at the Disney Dreamer’s Academy commencement ceremony. The Dream Academy program is an annual career inspiration program for one hundred high school students from across the country.

Next up for Jordin is the film Sparkle, also starring the late Whitney Houston.

The film, inspired by the story of The Supremes, tells the story of three sisters who form a successful singing group and deal with the obstacles that come along with fame.

Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo leave Philippe Chow together on Sunday (September 25) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 21-year-old American Idol alum and Jason, who was at the restaurant celebrating his 22nd birthday, are “definitely an item,” according to TooFab.

Jason was previously linked to Gossip Girl actress Tika Sumpter, who appeared in his “It Girl” music video and has just been cast with Jordin in the upcoming Sparkle remake.
